Hi, I'm Karen, founder of The 80:20 Club.
Like many of us, I've spent a sizeable part of my adult life on some form of eating programme or health regime and I'm certainly no stranger to a fad diet! Low carbs, no carbs, points-based, soup based, meal replacements .... you name it, I've been there!
It took me a long time to recognise that I never really ever needed a "diet".
All I really needed was to lose some of the sugar, ditch the ready-made meals and actually just feed myself a little better. If only I had known that adopting a more balanced approach, eating regularly and including plenty of variety was all I really had to do! (That, and ditch the stress!)
The 80:20 Club is about creating healthy habits - sleeping, movement, relaxation, and eating well ..... it's NOT about depriving ourselves or following punishing diet or exercise regimens. It's about about listening to our bodies, having a balanced approach to what we eat, and taking the smallest of steps towards improving our overall health. It's also about easily accessing nutritious meals and recipes to nourish and support our bodies.
We are NOT simply what we eat, that's why we look at how we move, how we sleep, what stress we carry, how we think about ourselves and how these things are all connected.
